Optimum Anabolics Review - The Truth
If you have been trying to build muscle for a while now, you probably would have heard of the Optimum Anabolics program, or at least heard about Jeff Anderson’s Muscle Building Program.
No matter what you heard of, you are here to figure out what Optimum Anabolics is really all about, and how it claims to help you build muscle faster than the other muscle building routines on the market.
It doesn’t matter if you are aware of Jeff Anderson or not because I am going to tell you that Jeff Anderson used to train the military to get fit and lean in the fastest time possible so that the soldiers could meet the required criteria before further training could proceed. With all the experience Jeff has got by training over thousands of soldiers (Guinea Pigs), you should know that Jeff knows his stuff.
In order to prove this, Jeff came out with the product Optimum Anabolics program, which made him so popular, he was permanently labeled “The Muscle Nerd”! Jeff became super famous in the muscle building industry because of his unorthodox techniques that nobody else has thought of but works like a charm!
With the Optimum Anabolics program, Jeff wanted to prove that his unorthodox techniques DO work, and to stand his point, he ran a 9 week challenge where 12 contestants from around the world took part in this, and if you look at the testimonials page, you will be surprised at the results that were obtained by simply following this program.
Now that you know what Jeff is capable of, let me tell you what Optimum Anabolics program is all about. Optimum Anabolics is basically a completely unorthodox muscle building routine that claims to break your genetic barriers and build super fast muscle in a 9 week period.
Is it true? Let me tell you how it claims to work before you answer that question.
In the Optimum Anabolics program, Jeff has explained in very simple language how your body works and how you can manipulate your diet and workouts to actually use growth hormones to build muscle really fast. WAIT! DON’T LEAVE!
These growth hormones are made naturally by your own BODY! That’s right! Unlike bodybuilders you see in gyms who drink artificial growth hormones to build muscle really fast, Jeff has a unique technique that triggers your body to release its own special batch of Growth Hormones that is Natural, Safe and is already floating in your BLOOD!
Now do you understand how Optimum Anabolics works? Yes, it is a 9 week plan, and yes, there will be a three week period where you cannot eat a particular range of foods which is why this workout is called UNORTHODOX!
BUT, during this whole 9 week period (Before going in to the next 9 week cycle) of Optimum Anabolics Routine you will eat in a completely different manner unless you are aware of the fact that you should be eating 5-6 meals a day in order to keep your metabolism elevated so that you don’t lose muscle (This works for losing fat and building muscle).
Optimum Anabolics is not only a muscle building routine, but it can also be change in to a fat loss routine, or a muscle definition routine. You name it! The structure is provided in the book. All you need to do is change your diet according to your goal. Like DUH!
There are two things I really like about the Optimum Anabolics program; The Workout and The Style of Writing.
The workouts are categorized into different tables followed by the entire 9 week workout sheet. The program enables YOU to design your OWN workouts by simply picking the exercises you like from the tables specified in the worksheet. Sounds complicated?
It’s NOT! You’ll see when you look at the workout sheet.
By the style of writing, I DO mean the style of writing. His explanation is so down to earth that it’s like he’s trying to explain to a 3 year old kid how to build large amount of muscle in very short period of time.
There are pictures, and a Muscle Nerd cartoon character who cracks you up with fact jokes and summary boxes for each chapter so that you know what you were supposed to understand from the chapter.
I like the other things as well like the exercise table where Jeff has evaluated the top exercises for each muscle group ranging from OK response to the BEST response. Believe me, you’ll be shocked when you find out where Bench Press ranks for the chest group!
I still found a few problems in the Optimum Anabolics program like the Interval Training portion which was really confusing because Jeff claims you can do all the workouts at home, but if you look at the Interval Training, you will need a gym with treadmill, stationary bike, a jump rope and a 100 to 200m space to run sprints. CRAZY!
I just did my own style of interval training using dumbbell swings, example:
Warm up with 10 reps
Rest 45 seconds
A - Swing 20 reps
B - Rest 45 seconds
Repeat AB 5 times
Walk around for 5 minutes to cool down.
That was my interval training.
And the other thing I did not like about the Optimum Anabolics program was the workout section again. He had given so many exercises that were the only ones you are supposed to do to get the best response, and he does give step by step instruction on how to effectively perform each rep, but he could have done better by putting pictures along to get a clearer idea of how to perform each exercise.
I did find www.bodybuilding.com to be a good resource to find the proper pictures and videos to perform each exercise.
Overall verdict: The benefits of this program are super strong when compared to my complains on the Optimum Anabolics program. If you are looking for a program that can change your physique in a totally shocking but positive manner within 9 weeks, you have to try out Optimum Anabolics program.
